Viz Comics Bargain

On Sunday I got a run of 35 of the latest issues of Viz Comic (including this months!) plus the joy of Sexism special. There was a Viz Annual I'd already got too, but I'll give it to a friend!

I paid £2.50 the lot, cheaper then one issue!

I called in to my local used bookshop today and got another haul of Lincolnshire Life magazine, this time 23 issues covering 1971-1978! Pretty good for 10p each!

My wife was looking at this around Christmas-time, we ended up not buying it. Today I found it in Poundland for £1

I went in my local used bookshop today, they sell magazines for 10p each, I like Lincolnshire Life magazine, I found 4 x 1969 issues, 6 x 1973 issues and 12 x 1976 issues, they where 10p each!

Digital Photo Magazine

I picked up 27 issues of Digital Photo magazine yesterday, none had the CDROM of course, but I only wanted to read the articles! They are dated from 2005-08.

I paid £2.5o the lot!

I got The Ghost Tour Of Great Britain Lincolnshire Book on Wednesday, although I don't believe in ghosts (or any of the supernatural for that matter), its still very interesting!

I got Elizabethan Lincoln by Clive Hardy from Torksey today, its full of photographs of 50 years of Lincoln.

Its in brand new condition, so was well worth 50p

I got this from Poundland today, its by Dorling Kindersley and normally costs £12.99.

So it was worth £1 :)

I found this book, Around the Coronation Street Houses, in our local charity shop yesterday, Mandy is a big fan, I'm not :)

Model Railway News 01-1963 & 05/1968

I got these two Model Railway News magazines at the weekend, from 1963 & 1968, I don't have a model railway, but I am a fan of model making. They are in slightly read condition, bit otherwise OK.

I bought three books this weekend, Lincolnshire A Shire county guide by David Kaye (25p), The Victorian Christmas Book by Antony & Peter Miall (50p) and Millers Sci-Fi & Fantasy Collectibles by Phil Ellis (50p).

Delia Smiths Christmas Book

Delia Smiths Christmas is a collection of Christmas recipes from Delia Smith includes five different Christmas cakes, a complete vegetarian menu, recipes for gifts such as chocolate truffles, and many traditional favourites. There are also ideas for festive occasions from drinks parties to dinner parties, with dishes such as roast goose with potato, sage and apple stuffing; caramelized orange trifle; and a terrine with four cheeses.

We paid 20p for this from our local charity shop :)

Beano & Dandy A Spin Around The Sixties Book

This book is a compilation of Beano & Dandy reprints from the 1960s.

Dandy & Beano are a strange car boot phenomena, sellers believe they are worth about £3 each, no matter what year they are from, its probably the fault of on of those car boot TV shows, its not hard to work out they generally remain unsold! Normal annuals I don't bother with, but I fancied reading this!
